This had a lot of interesting comments that lack factual basis or basis in reason. Here are a couple:

1. Many of her comments imply that Moore's law, not the laws of physics and chemistry, apply to wind turbines, photovoltaic cells, and batteries. This is not factual. Elon Musk knows a thing or two about PV and batteries and he'll tell you Moore's law does not apply to those.

2. She stated gasoline/diesel for ICE vehicles is a subscription model but electricity to charge a EV is not. It appears that she believes electricity is free which it is not.

3. She attributes the warming climate to ozone depletion. I have never heard this anywhere else. Too bad it's probably not the case because we've already determined CFCs cause ozone depletion and we have alternatives already implemented.

4. She stated that transportation is convenient and not essential (unlike food and water). I suppose this would be accurate if there were 800,000 people on earth, not 8 billion, and they all lived as hunter-gatherers.

I wonder how much of this embrace of narrative regardless of facts or reason ties back to post-modernist philosophy. I just read "Cynical Theories" by by Helen Pluckrose and James Lindsay (https://www.amazon.com/Cynical-Theories-Scholarship-Everything-Identity_and/dp/1634312023). I recommend it.

Wow!!! After that, also go back to read Eric Hoffer’s “ True Believer”. His classic collection of aphorisms and observations provide timely insight into the group- think mentality of a social movement- no factual basis, no concrete reason to follow, only an emotionally ( and usually charismatic leader) driven movement motivating a societal group to “ belong” to something. Explains many of the “isms” of history (climatizim!).

You did a great job of not “baiting” her, even better at not “rotflmao”. If you can get a utility company to provide 3 phase 480v service to your residence and couple the cost of a “supercharger” along with the associated fees, most will probably lose interest, real quickly. This probably explains why she does not have a Tesla supercharger in her home.

You are a very gracious host/debater. Her answers didn't seem to correspond to your question or point. It seemed like I just heard talking points from her without a concrete explanation of what "better" constitutes. Will the full podcast be available?

All the podcasts are on Apple or Spotify. Look up #hottakeoftheday. If you’d be so kind as to write a review, it helps grow the audience to hear what we are talking about.

I posted a review on Apple Podcasts.

Tough to listen to. Like unicorns and fairy dust, the technology that the energy transition crowd would have us abandon oil & gas for, DOES NOT EXIST today at the scale and economic attainability that is needed to really make it viable. But heck, I guess if I can just swap a charged battery into my electric leaf blower, unicorns must exist.
