Check out page 32 of Scotland’s weekly assessment for a look at case rates. Then look at Australia with more than 100,000 cases being reported. Australia, which is 95% vaccinated with at least 1 dose and they are double the death rate from
Its a fact that people need to disconnect their phones from their hand as its severely effecting rational thought. Never thought I would see the day where people are so mindfucked, amazing
Here's the facts I know. 1) 75% of those hospitalized in Colorado right now for COVID are unvaccinated. 2) Based upon local and national data, you are 17 times more likely to be hospitalized and 20 times more likely to die of COVID if you are unvaccinated.
It doesn't mean you won't get COVID, but the odds of you getting sick is far less if you are vaccinated than if you are not.
George. A UK study shows that the chances of catching Omicron while vaccinated is 4.5x that of being unvaccinated. 98% of cases are Omicron in the United States.
My personal risk of death from COVID is 0.0028%. My sons is 0.0007%. The vaccine is totally and utterly unnecessary for most people. 95% of the 830,000 deaths had an average of 4 comorbidiites. That’s a CDC direct quote. Which means 42,000 people who were healthy died “from COVID”. 170,000 died of drug overdose and 90,000 due to suicide in the same time period. 80,000 died in car accidents.
So I commend you for your faith in government after reading the AZT story, the Bextra story, the Vioxx story and the Purdue pharma story. I welcome you to wear masks and gloves and work from home, get boosted and be triple vaxxed. I go the other way. I have virtually no risk from
COVID. I assess the negative consequences on a risk adjusted basis of taking a vaccine that killed more people during the trial and over sampled healthy people rather than those at risk to be much greater. But- I may get hit by a bus tonight, joining the other 7799 Americans that will die of something today. And to that I say- I lived a good life.
The other CDC stat is that deaths are up over 1,000,000 over average since March 2020. What if not COVID do you attribute that to? And yes, look at the Comorbidities. #1 Pneumonia. #2 Respiratory failure. Just like the flu. That's what kills you. But its the flu that causes the top 2.
Then there are others completely unrelated. Like that 1/3rd of all of those over 80 have dementia. And yes, 1/3rd are overweight. 1/2 have either high blood pressure (under the new revised numbers where 120/90 is considered HBP) or High Cholesterol.
That's a fact of the general population and has little to do with them dying. If the number was significantly higher than the general population, you'd have a point, but it doesn't. In fact overweight is actually a lower % than the overall population.
I never said people didn’t die. I said the ones that died were massively unhealthy and that the healthy were not at risk enough to justify a societal shut down. 80% of the deaths were over 65. That’s when most people die.
The definition of vaccinated in the context of hospitalization probably refers to people who have had the 2 initial injections plus the booster. And only ~30% of the population have had the booster, so the 75% unvaccinated seems accurate when there appears to be no difference in susceptibility to infection whether you have had zero, one, two or two plus a booster injections. Similar to if 75% of the population had red hair and freckles, you would find that same percentage as patients in the hospital.
The UK study looked at people who already had COVID, and which strains they were likely to get. Vaccinated people were 4.5x more likely to have the Omicron strain. Unvaccinated people were more likely to have other strains, like Delta. And Delta is worse.
And as you pointed out, Georoc01, the data confirmed what everyone (except DRW?) seems to know about COVID and the vaccine: Unvaccinated people got sicker. They went to the hospital more. They died more.
But you'd have to actually read the study, and interpret it correctly, to understand that.
Vermont is 90% vaccinated with at least once dose (which lets be clear - I am unvaccinated. Someone who got their first shot after 2 years and then gets sick … they acknowledge in the trial data your immune system is depressed in the first 2 weeks. That’s a vaccination side effect.) Last year it was 0% vaccinated. Sure - cases aren’t a metric we care about now that it’s inconvenient but want to explain this one to me. Their high last year was a couple hundred cases a day and now they are at 3000? You simply can’t say that vaccination is not extremely suspect. More deaths in 2021 when more were vaccinated. New highs of hospitalizations. New highs in cases. You can cling to anything you want but the Pfizer test data showed more people died taking the vaccine than not and the absolute risk reduction was 0.7%. But keep telling me I’m misinterpreting the data. I’m not the only one. And every day, more and more seem to find a lot more questions than answers.
I love that it says “vaccinated AND boosted”. That’s a very very narrow set. And they are referencing hospitalizations. NOT cases. I have clearly referenced cases each and every time I’ve referenced that UK study. But of course - you ignore that. And don’t refute the Pfizer study or doctoring of the trial. Keep hanging on to your belief you won’t need a 4th and 5th and 6th etc booster. I call that “not working” but …. You call it what you want.
Domicile. Cases in the Us went from 0% to 98% Omicron in less than 6 weeks. Everything is hitting new highs after 70% of the country is vaccinated. Come on. How much do you have suspend reality to see that the records are NOT 100% of unvaccinated people are doing the work that 100% of people did last year. It’s laughable.
Yes. Omicron is a different animal. At no point have I disputed this. It breaks through the vaccine, for sure. But again, it's hitting the unvaccinated much harder than it's hitting the vaccinated.
I don’t think the name Anthony Fauci will age well. His name will be associated with 1000’s of avoidable deaths and millions of people permanently injured from these mRNA vaccines.

Georoc01, yeah, you're right.
And DRW is misinterpreting the data yet again!

Domaclaes. 98% of the cases in the US are Omicron according to the CDC. So/ the study is valid. I’ve been explicit about that every time I mention it.

Here's the data on Vermont. If you're in Vermont, and you're NOT vaccinated, you're 22 times as likely to get Omicron.

Yes, across the board, there are more positive tests with Omicron.
Of the positive tests, many, many more are unvaccinated than vaccinated.
Of the small number of vaccinated positives, very few are getting sick, going to the hospital, or dying.
Of the large number of unvaccinated positives, many more are getting sick going to the hospital, and dying.
You're making it sound like more vaccinated people are catching Omicron than unvaccinated are. They're not.
The study was back in December, when more variants were in the mix. But at that time, and now, the unvaccinated were catching COVID, and Omicron, at much higher rates. Go read it again. There are plenty of fact-check articles on it too. https://www.reuters.com/article/factcheck-omicronvariant-breakthroughpro/fact-check-article-examining-the-probability-of-omicron-variant-breakthrough-cases-is-misinterpreted-online-idUSL1N2T81PO
