When the facts fail you, make sure your opponent is cancelled
“When you tear out a man's tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you're only telling the world that you fear what he might say.” - Tyrion Lannister
The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH) is angry. Who is this group, you might ask? Headed by Imran Ahmed, who is a Washington based “advisor to politicians”, CCDH is a not for profit (so the “donate now” button is featured prominently on their website) NGO seeking to stop misinformation. Among the culprits they are targeting? Robert Malone, Alex Berenson, Steve Kirsch. Somehow, Dr. Fauci and Rachel Maddow haven’t made the list, but it’s still early. And CCDH isn’t the only group that’s angry.
On January 10th, a group of 270 people sent Spotify a letter demanding they take down Joe Rogan’s episode with Robert Malone and adopt a policy on misinformation. Said the letter: “By allowing the propagation of false and societally harmful assertions, Spotify is enabling its hosted media to damage public trust in scientific research and sow doubt in the credibility of data-driven guidance offered by medical professionals.” Who’s in this esteemed owners of s uneven group? Of the 270, 87 are doctors. Many are scientists, engineers and podcasters- which is not to take a shot at podcasting engineers- but is simply to shed light on who is in the group. Being in the in crowd is more important than having credentials, or realizing real science is an evolution.
You know what these groups aren’t doing? Challenging the people they are targeting to debate. They aren’t angry at Pfizer for making $33 billion in revenue in the first 9 months of the year (as compared to $2.5 mm for anti vax newsletters) with a high 20s rate of return, liability protection, world governments trying to mandate it (Pfizer actually laid off sales staff this quarter), and they are intervening in a lawsuit alongside the FDA to make sure the trial data - all 450,000 pages- is released over 55 years.
Whether it is climate change, COVID or well spacing, my response to people who disagree isn’t to get the person banned, it is to debate them and let listeners and readers decide.
But the most strange thing about this is everyone can plainly see the vaccines aren’t working as advertised. Israel is one of the most vaccinated countries on the planet. Here are their hospitalizations since the beginning of the pandemic. The two biggest peaks have occurred right after the vaccination and booster campaigns began.
Data is good. Silencing people you don’t agree with should beg more questions about what they are trying to hide. And substack is bringing that truth to light.
