In May of this year, “world renowned experts”, Nobel Prize laureates and other “distinguished guests” will get together to discuss combatting misinformation at a Davos like seminar. Doesn’t that make you feel good?
To me, like the phrase “weapons of mass destruction” and “terror cells” were used in the 2000’s to justify all forms of action, the label “conspiracy theorist” or “transphobic misogynist racist…” has been used to discredit the speaker regardless of topic, “misinformation” is just the latest catch all category to validate censorship and stifle discussion and debate.
With that preamble in mind, I present to you the below article from Seymour Hersch and I ask you, dear reader, to reflect - Is the article misinformation? If it is, what is the harm? And more importantly, if it’s right, how good do we feel about our country on the heels of a Chinese balloon traversing from Montana to South Carolina while simultaneously having no problem that we bombed a foreign pipeline and pretended we didn’t while pointing the finger at Russia.
For the record, I have always believed the US did it and said as much the next day. Moreover, I found it hysterical when the press, clearly acting at the behest of the government through “sources” immediately backed the claim “The Russians did it….”
Post COVID, I hope we all see that Mainstream media is a propaganda tool for the government in the country it operates in which is why the growth of substack is vital to our survival as a free democracy holding politicians accountable.
What say you about the below article and what does it mean to the Russian-Ukrainian US) war?
Great read, especially the destruction of Nord II. Misinformation benefits the teller of the lie, not the subject and it seeks to distract the recipient from discovering the truth. But the truth still gets out, especially these days. I guess we’d better keep an eye on our GOM oil and gas infrastructure! #payback
