COP27 and the collapse of an empire
(It may not be the one you think). Plus, a rare act of charity for yours truly for an essential cause
This weekend, 30,000 delegates (how do I get a badge?) descend on Egypt to do their best impression of Greta decrying the climate apocalypse. On the agenda this go round? Reparations from rich countries to poor countries to pay for their historic sins of CO2 emissions. Uh huh. Inflation at 8.7%, the S&P taking a nose dive, tech billionaires becoming hundred millionaires and the average person is just trying to pay for food and gas, afford their mortgage and get their kids off into the world with a better chance than they had? Climate change reparations to poor countries? Really. Good luck with that. This one is DOA.
The climate narrative is dead, but like a chicken it still can run around for a while bleeding out without a head. Remember when it wasn’t supposed to cost you anything? It does. $11,300 per person per year just to get to net zero and that’s BEFORE reparations. Those pushing this and ESG at all costs are finding they are financially worse for it while oil and gas and coal companies are finding themselves to be the cool kids again.
I remain absolutely convicted that we will see $150 oil this winter alongside $10/mcf gas. We will see riots and looting and burning trash, trees and everything else that people can get their hands on to survive, and ALL of it will be seen uncensored and unmanaged on Twitter. Which brings me to Elon. God, I love him.
Remember when “freedom protests” broke out in early 2021 and MSM called them terrorists, didn’t show the bouncy castles and hot tubs in Ottawa and generally spun a story with full control of images to the masses. The government shut down bank accounts, a crowd funding platform was hacked and the emails of all the contributors miraculously became available online to be harassed and vilified. The narrative was successfully controlled and everyone went back to living by emergency order.
But this week, there was a glitch in the matrix. Lee Fang and Ken Klippenstein published an article in ‘The Intercept” that showed just how much influence the department of homeland security had in influencing big tech to censor views that could undermine the government narrative.

And then there is Elon. He is the world’s richest man. He is one of the world’s smartest men. And he has less f@&ks to give than anyone on the planet. And everyone and their dog on the left seems content to pick a fight with him. Grab some popcorn, it’s about to get lit.
Thus far, Audi, GM, General Mills and Pfizer have all paused advertising on Twitter. Celebrities are packing up their toys and leaving. And the outrage of the audacity of Elon to charge people $8/month for a blue check vs. it just being given to the lords and lordess’s of the left… well, have mercy!
Like the cancel attempt to Rogan earlier this year, this isn’t a grass roots effort of well Meaning moms, it’s well funded activism at its finest and it is absolutely having an impact on the going concern capability of Twitter.
What has really got their goat, however, isn’t what Elon has done to content moderation (he’s changed nothing) but it has been the rollout of “Birdwatch” that has made Twitter the most fun you can have during the day. Here are some glorious examples.
This is a “user” system built to restore balance…. And the left F@&king hates it. When you read those tweets, you know why!
The real damage from Elon has yet to come. I watched ‘Billions’ and I can tell you, billionaires aren’t used to losing and have equally importantly, they have the resources to really, really steal your soul and crush your spirit. Rogan survived canceling because he was popular. Elon is a cult hero for an ever evolving group and has $200 billion to go with it. I don’t know what comes next but it for damn sure isn’t lying down.
My prediction? Elon’s trump card is what the DHS and government did behind the scenes to suppress free speech amen what they did to quell studies and discussion on the failure if the vaccine, lockdowns and masks to actually end the pandemic. He has the loudest microphone in the room and all the email receipts to prove it.
If you want to win a war, sometimes you have to drop a nuclear bomb and I stand by my analysis that post election, he will do just that. CDC, NIH, Fauci, MSNBC, CNN, Biden, Pfizer…. Better find a really good bunker. I literally can’t wait.
Which brings me to my “charitable” act of 2022. I have got to know Robert Bryce over the past few years and readers know I’m a huge fan of his podcast, writings and book. He made the movie “Juiced” on Amazon to talk about the truth about the electric grid and now, is making a follow up “Burning Down the Grid.” I believe that the self made energy crisis on the back of “climate change (money making)” fanaticism has been driven by the same narrative management and censorship that was done for COVID and by the same actors. We need balance in the conversation.
Energy bills are going up because of policy, not by accident. Inflation is up because of policy, not accident. And Robert is putting his own time and money behind the project to get the word out.
We need debate and discussion. We need context. And for that reason, I fully support Robert and his upcoming movie “Burning down the Grid.” If you believe in something, put your money where your mouth is. I did.

Liking the changes on Twitter so far, not sure I like the idea of the data being shared with the investors; don't believe any comments to the contrary. So that's a form of censorship, just not one that's laid out in a Tweet. Sort of like TikTok doesn't remind its users that the PRC is watching too. The "context" comments are great, really need these since most of the media doesn't even bother to act unbiased anymore.
Good boy. Donating today seems to be the way to get most things, if not ‘done’, at least out in the table if you can find a worthy cause. I am proud of you. Also, it is refreshing to note that SOMEONE is actually EXCITED about something in these ‘sky is falling’ times!❤️
